I woke up got in the shower and got ready. Went to lunch with my great friend Lane Stringer. My day is going pretty well at this point. Got to sleep in, take my time getting ready, and spend some q time (quality time) with Lane. After lunch I stayed at the Stringers when I was supposed to go to indy to see a very good friend of mine play in a hardcore show. This didn't end up working out so I was bummed. I am also a little heartbroken for reasons that I will not elaborate. I then went home to get some games for us to play, my guitar, and our Wii. As I was driving back to the Stringers it began to rain... hard. So I decided to leave my guitar in my car because I didn't want it to get wet. I grabbed the bag that I put the Wii stuff in and grabbed Twister. After I shut my car door, the straps on the bag broke halfway off and it fell to the ground. So I proceeded to grab it by the other side of the straps and they broke completely off... Wii and games falling to the ground again. Then, I grabbed it by the top of the bag and the bottom of the bag ripped, everything falling onto the wet, muddy ground. After that, I dropped Twister and my keys into a pretty sizeable puddle. I finally get everything, wet and muddy, in my arms and held with my chin against my chest and make it inside on the verge of tears. I get everything dried/cleaned off and later take it upstairs with the intention of playing the Wii with my best friend Lanette. Turns out the Wii is broken... awesome. As the tears begin to roll down my face I make a speedy exit and head for the bathroom. As I am crying, Lanette asks to come in and we decide to go to her bed and lay down. My best friend in the whole words just holds me while I cry and reassures me that everything will be ok. Sometimes we don't need elaborate explainations for why things happen and reasons that we go through things. Sometimes we simply need someone to just be with us and hold us while we cry. Thank you Jesus for the amazing friend that you've given me in Lanette Ruth Stringer.
